

Have you ever looked at an acorn and wondered what you could make out of it? I think this very thought a lot. It’s probably a very strange thing to think so often, but I wouldn’t know how strange since I’m so used to me. Let’s get busy and make an acorn tea set. While we’re at it, let’s make some miniature chocolate cookies and set them on little leaf plates. Get out your acorns and your polymer clay.

- acorn (from nature)
- a few acorn caps (from nature or try Etsy)
- bleach (grocery store)
- stick (from nature)
- hot glue for glue gun (best place to buy this is your local dollar store; awesome value there)
- Premo Wasabi (or another light green polymer clay)
- Premo Spanish Olive (or another medium to dark green polymer clay)
- Translucent Liquid Sculpey
- handmade polymer clay cookies (Polymer Clay Cookie Tutorial by SugarCharmShop)
- handmade polymer clay toadstool (Polymer Clay Toadstool Tutorial)
- tin foil (grocery store)
- wooden spools
- dried moss (Walmart also carries dried moss for a very reasonable price)
- garden spokes (optional, available at garden centers, or just use a wooden BBQ skewer)
- acrylic craft paint (I used brown, black, red, and white for this project)
- Fabri-Tac Glue
- Varathane Outdoor Varnish, satin
Tools:
- mill file (or course sand paper)
- Xacto knife
- Dremel 3000 (optional)
- glue gun
- wooden sculpting tool
- paint brushes
